Bank Holiday arrangements

The Trust will be recognising Monday 19th September 2022 as a Bank Holiday, to mark the day of the funeral of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II and to enable colleagues to pay their respects.

I thought you might appreciate some indication of what this means for accessing NHS services.

Maintaining critical services

The NHS remains open for you this bank holiday weekend, if have an urgent care need please don’t wait. Reach out for help by contacting NHS 111/NHS 111 online for urgent medical help.

As with all Bank Holidays we will be maintaining critical services, and teams will be making the appropriate staffing arrangements for the day. In line with other NHS organisations, we will also be stepping down elements of work scheduled for the day including clinics and primary care. We are in the process of finalising with directorates a set of arrangements for communicating this with those patients and service users affected, including rescheduling where necessary.

Some local Pharmacies may have different opening hours during a bank holiday search “find a pharmacy NHS” to find an open pharmacy near you
