We know that everyone is united in this challenge. Frontline staff and support staff. Staff working on our wards and people working throughout our community teams. Permanent staff and bank. Service users, carers and volunteers. We are ALL in this together and we want to highlight, support and recognise everyone
Over the coming days and weeks we are publishing what we see, to build a lasting tribute and record of the extraordinary things we are doing and all we are going to do.

Jenny Walchester
Going the extra mile
Jenny is compassionate, passionate and absolutely pivotal to The Staff Support & Counselling Team. As support manager to the service she is often the first point of call to staff members seeking support and also to all staff needing administration support who work within the service.
Without Jenny's skill, wisdom and compassion the service would not run so successfully and be able to support our incredible NHS staff across various trusts.
Thank you Jenny for being wonderful, you are a gift to our team.

We created buntings and flags to decorate the ward. In addition to this the young people had a bake off and competed against one another to decorate the cakes. A prize was rewarded to the favourite design.
Followed by this the Darwin staff and young people gathered together at lunch time and enjoyed a lovely buffet.
One of the young people wrote a fantastic poem for the nurses. We had a mannequin of Florence Nightingale to remember her.
This was a great celebration which everyone appeared to enjoy.

Fantastic Job getting my mum back on her feet. Everyone I have spoken too has been very comforting, for my family and I, especially during these times of no visiting.
