BOOK YOUR FREE PLACE NOW – SYMPHONY OF HIDDEN VOICES

03 Aug 2018

We are delighted to be hosting our second Inclusion Conference Symphony for Hidden Voices’ on 7 September. As a Trust, we strongly believe that people do better when everyone is able to authentically be true to themselves. We are proud to strive towards creating outstanding inclusion experiences for all our service users, carers, Trust colleagues and those in partner organisations.

Symphony for Hidden Voices seeks to share with you the stories of a selection of those whose lives have been shaped in different ways by their experiences of both inclusion and exclusion. It aims to develop the way in which we provide our services through shared understanding and appreciation of difference.

This year, our keynote speaker is Professor Dame Elizabeth Anionwu. A nurse by background, she has gathered a number of accolades for her services to nursing, development of sickle cell services and understanding (nationally and internationally), and the successful campaign she led to commemorate Mary Seacole through a landmark statue at St Thomas’ Hospital in London. Details of other speakers will be released over the next few weeks.

Please reserve your ticket here.

This event is free of charge and we will also be launching our Staffordshire STP Stepping Up BAME Leadership Programme as part of the event and discussing how we can further improve inclusion for our patients and service users, our communities and our NHS workforce.

If you have any dietary, access or other needs or preferences for the day of the event, please email us at Diversity@northstaffs.nhs.uk with details and we will make necessary arrangements for you.
