Nursing Virtual Recruitment Fair attracts talent to Combined Healthcare

Combined Healthcare’s first Nursing Virtual Recruitment Fair has been hailed as a great success, attracting a range of applicants for nursing careers at the Trust.

The Recruitment Fair was run via Microsoft Teams from 10:15am – 1pm on Tuesday 29 September, with a large amount of delegates staying throughout the whole event and a busy lobby of applicants dropping in for particular sessions of interest.

A wide range of presentations were given on the day including a welcome from Recruitment Manager Ami Stonier, information on our health and wellbeing offer from Staff Counselling Service Manager Jan Summerfield, and Head of Nursing and Quality Zoe Grant talking about her career journey at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust.

Lesley Faux, Diversity and Inclusion Lead, and Tes Zaheer, Personal Secretary, AMH Higher, presented on the importance of inclusion and diversity, with Rachel Bloor, Practice Education and Preceptorship Lead, speaking on Combined Healthcare’s Preceptorship Programme. The event also featured Huw Morgan, Business Engagement Manager, Keele University who talked about nursing apprenticeships.

Applicants were also offered the great opportunity of first stage interviews directly on the day for Band 5 RMN and Staff Nurse positions, and Nursing Apprenticeships.

Ami Stonier said: “We had some fantastic feedback following all of the presentations, and applicants really enjoyed having the opportunity to meet with all of our presenters.”
