About the service
The Autism Spectrum Assessment Service is a screening, assessment and diagnosis service for adults aged 18 and above. Although we are unable to offer ongoing intervention, the team does signpost to other appropriate services.
Assessment is carried out by social workers, psychologists, nurses and speech and language therapists to ensure a holistic assessment in line with NICE (National Institute for Health and Care Excellence) guidelines.
The service is for adults who do not have a learning disability but are experiencing symptoms and difficulties suggestive of an autism spectrum disorder. New referrals for those not known to mental health services are via the GP and can be sent directly to the Autism Spectrum Assessment Service at the above address.
