In the approach to World Mental Health Day (10 October 2025), Combined Charity is moving with purpose.

The Charity, which operates for the benefit of North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, is celebrating the power of movement in all its forms for boosting wellbeing, with the launch of a new ‘let’s move for mental health’ campaign that will raise vital funds for mental health support.

Being active is one of the 5 Ways to Wellbeing, and daily physical activity can make a huge difference to both physical and mental wellbeing, but as the seasons change, staying motivated can be tough. That’s where let’s move for mental health comes in!

Whether it’s a daily mile, a dance-a-thon, or even a mindful movement practice, Combined Charity is there to cheer you on every step, roll, or stretch of the way.

It’s simple:

• Choose a movement that works for you and set your own challenge

• Let the charity team know what you’re doing

• Encourage friends, family, and colleagues to support you via the dedicated JustGiving page here

If you’re interested in taking part in let’s move for mental health, get in touch with the charity team today to share your plans: charity@combined.nhs.uk

A team including representatives from North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, Restorative Justice Staffordshire, and Staffordshire’s veteran community will be taking on a 28-mile sponsored walk across North Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent as part of the campaign. You can support them via the dedicated JustGiving page here.

Every effort matters. Every donation counts. Together, we can raise awareness, spark conversations, and support mental health in our communities.

Stay tuned for updates, stories, and inspiration. Let’s move for mental health!

As NHS staff across the country continue to work under intense pressure, Combined Healthcare will be able to provide crucial support to help improve the wellbeing of local NHS staff, both now and in the future, thanks to a £49,998 grant from NHS Charities Together and NHS England. The grant has been awarded as part of an £11 million programme – which includes a £5 million contribution from NHS England – and is one of 61 ambitious projects across England to receive funding from the programme since its launch in 2024.
The latest digital learning film from Combined - unveiled today - features its Digital Trainer FRED (Finance and Resources Expert in Delivery) explaining the principles and practice lying behind our Cost Improvement Programme (CIP). The film is available in two formats. The first is a traditional 16:9 film, suitable for screens, mobile devices and tablets. The second places FRED in a fully immersive 360 degree virtual reality environment, and can be watched online or for the full immersive experience via a VR headset such as Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest Pro.
