The ARRS Mental Health Team within Primary Care continues to evolve in Year 3 of Community Mental Health Transformation, with the introduction of a further 13 Mental Health Practitioners (Band 6 posts), which will be aligned to Primary Care networks across North Staffordshire and Stoke.
All posts are substantive and will be rolled out in waves. The first five roles are currently live.

A new service enhancing the health and social care support provided to individuals in the criminal justice system in Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent has been launched.
The Health and Justice Service will provide additional support to those in the criminal justice system with mental health concerns, learning disabilities, substance misuse problems or other vulnerabilities.

Stoke Social going from strength to strength21 March, 2023 at 10:34 am
Stoke Social is a club run for older adults which has been running since October 2022 and the group has grown significantly since then, from eight adults at the first session to 25+ every week since. The club is a joint initiative between North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and Stoke City Football Club and was set up to combat social isolation in older people, as part of the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme.

Our Older Adult wards at Harplands Hospital are one of many hospitals across the country to be rolling out the Yellow Socks project, aimed at reducing the risk of falls amongst service users. As part of the scheme, patients who have been identified as more at risk of falls have been provided with yellow socks.
