People using North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust services can now see their outpatient appointments through the NHS App. The new feature links the trust’s PatientAide portal with the NHS App, helping service users find important information in one simple, familiar place.
Eligible service users aged 16 and over will receive a text message inviting them to access their Combined Healthcare patient record using their existing NHS App login. This means fewer passwords to remember and easier access to appointments, letters, care plans, medication and allergy information, and online forms.
The change is designed to enable patients to access their healthcare information in a way that is simpler and easier, helping people to stay empowered and involved when managing their care. This development represents another significant step in the trust’s commitment to improve digital services, positively impacting the experience of service users who use the technology.
It is a simple but exciting step forward, giving people more choice, confidence and control over their care.
Liz Mellor, Chief Strategy Officer at North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, said:
“This is a really positive development for the people who use our services. By connecting PatientAide with the NHS App, we are making it easier for people to see their information, manage their appointments and feel more in control of their care.”
Mark Rearden, Director of Digital Solutions at Dedalus, said:
“We are proud to support Combined Healthcare, helping to shape a more connected and accessible digital experience for service users, supporting the national strategy to make the NHS App the single front door and universal digital gateway for health and care services. We look forward to building on this progress and continuing to support the trust’s digital ambitions.”
