Dr Buki Adeyemo unveils our four new engagement pledges

Two women smiling, one whispering into the other's ear.

Speaking at a special event of our service users and stakeholders, our Chief Executive Dr Buki Adeyemo has unveiled our four new engagement pledges.

Dreaming big

Dr Adeyemo said:

Engagement, co-production and partnership are all things that are dear to the heart of Combined Healthcare.

So we want to ensure that what we do is meeting the needs and preferences of you – our service users, their families and stakeholders.

As part of our efforts to do, it is both a pleasure and a privilege to make this opening contribution this very special event – which we have called engagement@combined.

Today brings together individuals and organisations from across our local communities and our trust.

I want to thank each and every one of you for taking the time and trouble to attend.

Your efforts are truly appreciated and I hope you find the day useful

Today is an opportunity for our trust to spend time with you – to celebrate what we have achieved together so far, learn from each other and  ‘dream big’, so we can together achieve even more.

Our four engagement pledges

And underpinning all of today are four engagement pledges we make to you, which are very simple.

  • If you have a story to tell – we will help you tell it.
  • If you have a question to ask – we will help you ask it.
  • If you have insight to share – we will help you share it.
  • And if you have a contribution to make – we will help you make it.

We do this because, in doing so, we enable us all to continue on that remarkable journey we have been on together for many years –our journey towards being Outstanding in ALL we do and HOW we do it.

I have always said that we are never complacent.  And that will always remain at the forefront of our minds.

As Chief Executive of Combined Healthcare – and on behalf of our entire Executive Team – I look forward to us all playing our part in continuing to deliver our joint success.

Let’s have a great day together.

Do you have a story to tell?

At Combined Healthcare we love to hear and share stories from our staff, our service users and their loved ones, our stakeholders and our partners.

We have created a whole range of ways to assist you in doing so.

You can suggest your story is heard at one of our Trust Board meetings and have the opportunity to take part in a live filmed discussion with our Board members.

We can create a short film about your story and feature it on our digital TV station CTV – available for free online and shown on digital screens across our Trust locations.

Or you can record a longer format version of your story and we can feature it as an episode on our Combinations Podcast.

Whatever your preference, click on this link to give us your story idea and your contact details and we will be in touch to discuss how we can help you tell it

Recent updates

As NHS staff across the country continue to work under intense pressure, Combined Healthcare will be able to provide crucial support to help improve the wellbeing of local NHS staff, both now and in the future, thanks to a £49,998 grant from NHS Charities Together and NHS England. The grant has been awarded as part of an £11 million programme – which includes a £5 million contribution from NHS England – and is one of 61 ambitious projects across England to receive funding from the programme since its launch in 2024.
The latest digital learning film from Combined - unveiled today - features its Digital Trainer FRED (Finance and Resources Expert in Delivery) explaining the principles and practice lying behind our Cost Improvement Programme (CIP). The film is available in two formats. The first is a traditional 16:9 film, suitable for screens, mobile devices and tablets. The second places FRED in a fully immersive 360 degree virtual reality environment, and can be watched online or for the full immersive experience via a VR headset such as Apple Vision Pro or Meta Quest Pro.
