In January 2026, Combined Healthcare was pleased to receive reaccreditation as a Veteran Aware NHS provider, by the Veteran Covenant Healthcare Alliance (VCHA) National Steering Group, reaffirming our long‑standing commitment to providing high‑quality, compassionate care for members of the Armed Forces community.
Ben Richards, Chief Operating Officer, is pleased about this achievement and said:
“We are very proud to have achieved this reaccreditation. It affirms our commitment to recognising and responding to the needs of the Armed Forces Community, ensuring no disadvantage or unwarranted variation in how members of the community access our services.
“Our continued alignment with the VCHA programme and the Armed Forces Covenant reinforces this. With reaccreditation secured through to January 2029, we will continue to build on this strong platform for the years ahead.”
Over the past couple of years, we have strengthened how we identify veterans and the wider Armed Forces community across both our services and workforce. Any patient with an Armed Forces status is now recorded consistently within Lorenzo, while staff self‑declaration through the electronic staff records enables tailored support such as special leave for reservists, flexible working, and dedicated wellbeing resources. This information is essential for monitoring our compliance, and continuing to inform our operational and workforce planning, and enhancing the targeted support we provide to those who have served, are serving, and their families
Information for patients and families about our support for veterans and the Armed Forces community can be found on our website.
