Criminal Justice Team

About the service

The role of the team is to support assessment, advice and guidance for those who are involved with the criminal justice system. Based within the magistrates’ court, the team offers assessments of those appearing before the court, as well as expert guidance to the courts themselves.

The team offers assessments into the probation service to support addressing unmet mental health needs. The team also acts to support risk management across the trust offering High Risk Case Review assessments and acts as the key interface and core representation in Multi-Agency Public Protection Arrangements (MAPPA).
