North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is proud to support the NHS ambition to achieve Net Zero by 2045.

Our Green Plan 2025-28 outlines the steps we will take over the next three years to reduce carbon emissions, improve sustainability, and build climate resilience across our services.

This plan builds on the progress we’ve already made and reflects our ongoing commitment to a healthier environment for our patients, staff, and communities. It is intended that this plan will help people to stay well, closer to home and reduce health inequalities through smarter, more sustainable services. Click here to read the plan.

We will also be sharing updates on our progress, highlighting successes, and showcasing partnership work that supports the ambitions set out in the plan on our commitment to a greener future webpage, click here to access the page.

As NHS staff across the country continue to work under intense pressure, Combined Healthcare will be able to provide crucial support to help improve the wellbeing of local NHS staff, both now and in the future, thanks to a £49,998 grant from NHS Charities Together and NHS England. The grant has been awarded as part of an £11 million programme – which includes a £5 million contribution from NHS England – and is one of 61 ambitious projects across England to receive funding from the programme since its launch in 2024.
