Recruitment Privacy Policy

This privacy notice is about how your personal identifiable information will be managed from job application through to starting work. The information is needed to help recruit the best people, perform the necessary employment checks, arrange a contract of employment, get new recruits started in their work and fulfil legal/regulatory requirements. The lawful processing is established under the current data protection legislation these are necessary steps prior to being able to establish, continue or vary a contract of employment. Any data that you provide to us throughout the recruitment process will be used for recruitment purposes only. Your information, including your application and interview records will be held by the organisation for “the establishment, exercise or defence of legal claims”, this means that we have information to enable us to demonstrate that the process was fair. In line with the NHS Retention Schedule, this information will be kept for a period of one year.

By applying for positions with North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust, you will have received a separate privacy notice via TRAC as information you provide through NHS Jobs. Whilst North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust is the Data Controller, TRAC is the Data Processor.

Unsuccessful candidate data will be retained for 1 year in line with the NHS Retention Schedule. Successful Candidates data will be used for the purposes of employment.
