Brief Biography
Nicky commenced as Deputy Director of Governance / Trust Board Secretary in January 2024
Nicky has unparalleled experience, having worked in a variety of corporate and clinical roles at all levels at Combined in a career spanning over 25 years.
She started as a Healthcare Support Worker at Stallington Hospital in 1998, before qualifying as a Registered Mental Health Nurse in 2002. She progressed to become a Acute Ward Manager in Wards 2 and 3, Service Manager across Access and Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment teams and Associate Director for Acute Services and Urgent Care.
Following the Covid Pandemic, Nicky moved from Operations to Corporate services and took up a post as the Associate Director of Transformation/ Deputy Director Transformation within the Strategy and Partnerships team. During this time Nicky also took up the interim Clinical Director post for Specialist Services for 6 months whilst the role was substantively recruited to.
Commenting on her appointment, Nicky said
“The Governance Team have been so welcoming and supportive since joining them 6 months ago. I’m delighted to be joining the team as Deputy Director of Governance/ Trust Board Secretary and excited to be working with this great team in shaping governance going forwards both within our organisation and with system partners. As part of the wider People Directorate led by Executive Director Paul Draycott , the team will be developing a 5 year governance plan to describe our ambitions going forwards and how we can best support corporate and clinical colleagues with monitoring systems and processes to provide assurance as regards patient safety and quality of care, how we conduct our business safely and effectively and how we make ourselves accountable to the people and communities we serve.”.
