Youth participation

Here at Combined we are committed to ensuring that all young people and their families have the opportunity to use their voice in developing our services.

Youth participation is about putting young people at the heart of our services and utilising their expertise to continue our journey of being ‘outstanding’.

We are working with our local community, schools, colleges, and youth networks to ensure that youth voice is the centre of what we do, not only through our trust but across the city.

How do we achieve this?

ELEVATE is our youth council that is run in collaboration with Changes Health & Wellbeing.

ELEVATE meets twice a month, both online and in person, and work together on a range of projects to contribute to the success of our ever-developing services.

Not only this, but ELEVATE is a space for young people to socialise and meet people from a diverse range of backgrounds, all with the same passion of developing services.

ELEVATE has supported numerous projects such as:

  • supporting with interview panels and recruitment
  • redesigning service delivery
  • co-producing new initiatives
  • attending networking events

ELEVATE is always on the lookout for new members. If you are 13 to 21 years old with a passion in service development or know someone who may be interested, we would love to hear from you!

Who’s who?

Here at combined, we believe that youth participation is everybody’s business! However, if you wish to speak to our dedicated Youth Participation Lead, please contact Sabrina Lawton: Sabrina.Lawton@combined.nhs.uk
