VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations across Stoke-on-Trent and North Staffordshire are invited to sign up for a procurement event being held by North Staffordshire Combined Healthcare NHS Trust and Midlands Partnership Foundation Trust on Wednesday 12 January.
This event will provide information about the Community Mental Health Transformation Programme, and the procurement opportunities that will be available for VCSE organisations.
The NHS Long Term Plan sets out an ambitious programme of investment and transformation for Mental Health Services over the period 2019-2024 and a significant element of this focuses on improving the community mental health care offer. Significant, multi-million-pound investment has been identified for this and local, cross-sector partners have come together to start planning these improvements and investments.
The VCSE sector has a crucial role to play in this transformation. The ambition is to create blended teams of health, social care and VCSE staff; working together, and with local communities, to improve the mental and physical health of populations.
We are inviting VCSE partners to attend an updated procurement session next week, on the 12 January from 12.30 pm – 2 pm, to update the organisations on progress to date and upcoming opportunities.
This event will provide you with information about the following:

– Approach to procurement now and in the future
– Information about investment available to the VCSE sector
– VCSE organisations lead Q&A.
