Tom Wilson, an Expert by Experience at Combined Healthcare and recent winner of the ‘Winners Award’ at the Pride of Staffordshire 2023, has raised over £62,000 for Prostate Cancer UK over the past four years.
Tom raises awareness and funds for the charity by organising a variety of darts events across Staffordshire, Stoke-on-Trent, and, recently, Cheshire every weekend. At a recent event held in Staffordshire, over 60 individuals attended and showed their support for the cause as well as getting together to play a few games of darts. Tom’s events are family-friendly, and he encourages people to participate and contribute to the charitable efforts. The events have an entry fee of £5 which is then divided between the charity and a prize fund for participants.
In addition to hosting events, Tom supports fundraising for Prostate Cancer UK by selling sports memorabilia and signed items through online auctions, with all the money that is raised being donated to the charity. With his calendar fully booked until the end of the year for his darts events, Tom aims to raise £75,000 by the end of the year, furthering his commitment to raising awareness about Prostate Cancer and in the future, he hopes to raise £100,000 for the cause.

“I can only do this through the kindness and practical support of those who come to my charity competitions, buy badges and wristbands, donate memorabilia, darts and accessories to raffle or auction, or just simply make a donation in memory of someone affected by prostate cancer.
